The Indian Premier League 2021 (IPL) is going to begin on April 9, 2021. The official announcement was released by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Sunday morning with the support of Twitter. The first match will be played in Chennai. The match will begin with the defending team Mumbai Indian with Royal Challengers Bangalore. Also, the last day when the final will be played has announced and it will be played on May 30, 2021, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The BCCI has released the schedule of the match during the league. On April 10, the Previous year’s favorite Delhi Capitals will face off team Chennai Super Kings in Mumbai. According to the details, the whole tournament will be held in six stadiums of the country- Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Delhi, and Kolkata.

During the release of IPL dates, the organization said that each team will play their matches in four venues among six during the league. Also, the match is scheduled at a neutral venue, with no teams will play their matches in the home stadium because there has been crowd violence between fans. The decision is taken by the authorities. During the league, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Mumbai will plan 10 matches each. On the other side, Delhi and Ahmedabad will host eight matches.

While the knockout matches of the league will be played completely in Ahmedabad, which is the largest stadium in the world. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the organizers of the match have already cleared that each team will travel thrice during this upcoming league.

Later, organizers added,” The VIVI IPL this year at home will be played behind the closed doors, to begin with, and a call on allowing spectators will be taken at a later stage of the tournament”. 11 doubleheaders will be seen in the tournament, where six teams of the league are scheduled to play three afternoons and two teams scheduled two afternoons.
