India: 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift Sport, Swift Hybrid Likely to Launch | Features, Price

The Maruti Suzuki is all set to come and to display the new generation of the Maruti Suzuki Swift of 201, in the same year. The Maruti Suzuki Swift Sport is part of the Auto Expo in Delhi.

The launch of the much-awaited automobile Maruti Suzuki Swift Sport in India is all set to be followed just post the launch of the expo in March 2018. As per the further report, the Sports variant is all set to launch first (end 2018 or early 2019), that is all set to follow by the launch of the Hybrid variant by end 2019 or early 2020.

In the month of July, the Suzuki Swift Sport is all set to disclose the car which makes it official public debut in the month of September, in 2017 which is the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Maruti Suzuki Swift Sport Features

The car sports a lowered body with a new attractive front fascia and with compared to the regular model the Swift Sport is longer by 50 mm. The Suzuki Swift Sport is powered by a 1.4-litre turbo-charged BoosterJet petrol engine and this is the tuned to pump out 138 BHP of maximum power at 5,500 RPM.

This is developing 230 Nm of peak torque between 2,500 to 3,500 RPM. This engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission of the Maruti Suzuki Swift Sport.

On the other side, in 2017, the Suzuki Swift Hybrid is all set to launch in Japan in the month July. In the Japanese market, the Suzuki also offers a mild hybrid version of the Swift which turned to be the popular form of the SHVS technology. Maruti Suzuki CelerioX Launched in India

The report further claimed that the India is all set to get some sort of hybrid tech on the India-spec Swift, exact details of the automobile gadget is still unknown. The JDM Swift Hybrid is powered by a 1.2-litre four-cylinder K12B petrol engine producing 90 BHP of max power and 118 Nm of peak torque.

This particular engine is paired with a 10 kW Electric Motor Generator, and the hybrid power-train is coupled to a 5-speed AGS (AMT) gearbox with or without paddle shifters.

The hybrid system shuts down the engine in low speed/traffic scenarios and the car will be run purely in the electric motor.

This hybrid powertrain delivers a fuel economy of 32 kmpl. This is reportedly the Suzuki Swift Mild Hybrid version will receive the 1.2-litre K12C petrol unit that is paired with Suzuki’s SHVS mild hybrid system.

This is the same mild hybrid system which is available on India-spec cars like the Maruti Ciaz, Ertiga, and the automobile Maruti S-Cross facelift, recently launched.
