Meghalaya is consiered to be one of the eight states in Northeast India that offers two seats in the Lok Sabha. In the year 2014 when Lok Sabha elections were held, the Indian National Congress and the National People’s Party had won a seat each with vote shares of 39 per cent and 22.8 per cent, individually. This year in 2019, the votings for Meghalaya Lok Sabha Election were held in Phase 1 on April 11 and the result for the same will be declared on May 23.
