The Major League Soccer season 2019 is underway and the matches started on 2 March 2019. The tournament is also the 24th season of Major League Soccer. The season is going to carry on till October 6. The tournament is followed by the start of 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs which is going to begin on October 19, and will end with the MLS Cup 2019 on November 10, under a new format that is different from earlier seasons. The playoffs are going to use single-match rounds and will comprise of a total number of 14 teams. Format
Every single club has to play total of 34 games, which also comprises of 17 home games and 17 away games. Teams have to face-off each of their conference challengers two times for the duration of the season and non-conference opponents one time.
