The government has made it obligatory for financial institutions, which is consists of the banks, to verify and link Aadhaar for their customers with their accounts. As per a press release which is directly coming from the finance ministry on December 13, 2017, is somehow the date has been extended to 31st March 2018 from 31st December 2017.

Check Your Aadhaar Linked to your Bank
Here’s a step-by-step guide where people can check whether your Aadhaar has been linked to your bank account.
1). Visit the Aadhaar website – www.uidai.gov.in
2). Click on ‘Check Aadhaar & Bank Account Linking Status’

4). Enter the OTP and click on ‘Login’
5). On successful login, the website will be displayed whether the user’s or people’s Aadhaar number is successfully mapped or not.

2). People need to enter their 12 digit Aadhaar number
3). Confirm that the digits entered by you are correct
4). After confirmation will be done, it will display the bank account linked with Aadhaar
Points to remember
1). It will only display to the people the last bank account that has been linked to your Aadhaar.
2). If people are having multiple bank accounts, they will have to check the status of the same with the bank.
3). People will be able to use this service only if their mobile number is linked to their Aadhaar anyway.
