2018 Hyundai i20 1.2L Petrol CVT set to Launch in India, Will Rival Honda Jazz & Maruti Baleno

This year’s Auto Expo is going to be big for sure because so many big cars and models are set to release in the Indian market. Reports are coming that The 2018 Hyundai i20 is expected to be showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo in Delhi-NCR. Sources are saying that the car is all set for the Indian market and after the showcase in Auto expo 2018 the company will start the booking for the amazing model of i20. Reports are coming that Hyundai will showcase the new i20 Facelift with a new CVT (continuously variable transmission) automatic transmission, mated to a 1.2-litre petrol unit at the Auto Expo.

As per the reports, the new car will be the next great model as you all may know that the company is already running 1.4-litre petrol variant that comes mated to a 4-speed AT torque converter unit which will be discontinued after it. As per the reports, Hyundai Elite i20 facelift should go on sale in India in the second half of this year which means that the model will come out around July, August in the market. Currently, the Hyundai i20 AT is only available with the 1.4-litre petrol engine, which was introduced in September 2016. However, the AT variant is available only in the Magna trim and is overpriced as compared to the Maruti Baleno Alpha CVT. Also, the reports are suggesting that higher GST rates applicable on sub-4m cars with petrol engines above 1200cc. 2018 Hyundai Elite i20 Facelift

The features are quite similar to the previous car but new Hyundai i20 1.2-L petrol with CVT gearbox will help the company to compete with the rivals in a better way. Also, some other specs such as 1.4-litre diesel engine that produce 89 BHP of power and 220 Nm of peak torque is going to make noise in market. In terms of design, the new i20 facelift will get cosmetic updates to the exteriors.
