New Delhi: In a bid to suicide, a 25-year-old woman, working at a private hospital in Delhi, allegedly attempted to commit suicide by jumping before a Metro train on Monday.
CRPF Officials said that the incident was reported from the Guru Dronacharya station at about 7:30 AM. The woman identified as F Nishat. She jumped on the track even as the train bound for Samaypur Badli was moving in.
The woman got a fracture on her right hand and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.
The police said that we are trying to ascertain the reasons for her attempting the alleged suicide bid.
The CRPF officials said that Metro services were disrupted for about ten minutes.
Every year, we heard many cases like this. Metro train is for travelling from one place to another, not for suicide.
