On Saturday, a minor girl aged 16 year-old was allegedly raped by a 30-year-old man at a village in the district in Punjab, police said.
A resident of Dena village of Moga district – Lab Singh allegedly raped the minor Dalit girl on Friday when she was alone at her house and fled after raped the girl, Punjab Police said.
Punjab Police also added that a case has been registered under section of 376(rape) and efforts are on to nab the accused.

In the month of November 2015, A B.Sc first-year student of a government college in Jagraon was abducted and raped by a young guy of Daulatpura Newan village in Moga district.
The victim girl approached police for registration of a FIR against the accused, identified as Beant Singh Banti.
The 17-year-old girl, hails from Daulatpura Newan village, said in her complaint that Banti abducted her on 30th October 2015 after inviting her to his aunt’s house at Dashmesh Nagar in Moga for a birthday party.
The Investigation officer of this case – Charanjit Kaur said that Banti’s aunt Sarwan Kaur and her husband Gursewak Singh helped the accused in abducting the girl and forcibly confining her at their house.
IO added that the rape victim said that she was repeatedly raped. On 9th November 2015, she managed to flee from the house and narrated the entire incident to her family.
A case was registered under Sections 376 (rape), 344(wrongful confinement for 10 days or more), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.
