The South Film Industry witnessed a grand gems studded night that was 63rd Filmfare awards held on June 18th at Hitex hall in Hyderabad. Glamorous performances, humorous and witty jokes of hosts of the night, full on maza and masti that is not enough to enjoy in just one night. Chinmayee and Rahul Ravindran hosted the 63rd Filmfare Awards. Kannada actress Haripriya started the proceedings with her energetic performance and the first award to be given on the day was the Best Cinematography Award to KK Senthil Kumar for his brilliant work in “Baahubali.”
This year, SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus “Bahubali” and Mahesh Babu’s “Srimanthudu” have dominated the Telugu nomination list. Mani Ratnam’s “Ok Kanmani” is leading in Tamil, “Krishna Leela,” “RangiTaranga” rule the Kannada list. Prithviraj Sukumaran’s “Ennu Ninte Moideen,” Dulquer Salmaan’s “Charlie” and Mammootty’s “Pathemari” have been nominated in most of the Malayalam categories.
