A civilian and an Army jawan were assassinated and 2 other security forces personnel injured today morning at some point and time where an encounter with militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district took place. Security forces start on a cordon and search operation in the district’s Khudwani area on the yesterday night, following information about the presence of some terrorist also.
Two to three militants are as per reports to be holed up in the area.
A 25-year-old man dies because of the injuries at a hospital. It is not right away clears how the dead people got injured.
In the meantime, mobile internet services have been pending in Kulgam and Anantnag districts of South Kasmir.
As a defensive measure train services on the Srinagar-Banihal route have also been pending and suspended.
Though, trains will be plying in general on Srinagar-Baramulla route.
The 6 additional Coys of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) have been moved to the encounter site in Khudwani area of Kulgam, where two to three militants have been trapped until now.
The Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police are jointly carrying out the operation.
Well, Deadly fights and violence are very common in Jammu Kashmir, in the state; at least one person has died in the conflict for every day in this year.
The number of casualties in Jammu and Kashmir in 2018 is around 138, which means that, on average, at least one person has died every day. That is exclusive of the number of cross-border secret agent shot down at the Line of Control and security personnel assassinated in the border battle.
Broadly, four forms of violence take lives of the citizen in Jammu and Kashmir, reportedly, like, gunfights between security forces and militants, and the protests surrounding them; militant attacks on security installments; abductions that ended in killing; and cross-border fire.
