The blast occurred in the Bombay Bhel restaurant at about 10:30 pm local time. Around 15 people were taken to the hospital, 3 of them with critical injuries, the Peel Regional Paramedic Service said in a Tweet.

The two male suspects fled post detonating their improvised explosive device, Peel Regional Police writes the same on the twitter.

No one has claimed responsibility, so still, the logical motive for the attack was not known.

Peel Police stated regarding the one suspect was in his mid-20s, stocky, and wore dark blue jeans and a dark zip-up hoody pulled over his head, he also covered his face with a black color cloth.

The second person was thin, and wore faded blue jeans, a grey t-shirt and a dark zip-up hoody over his head; he also, by the way, covered his face.

Roads in that area were closed and a large number of police was a presence in the spot, with heavily armed tactical officers also come as the part of this massive emergency response, local media reported the same.

The attack in Mississauga comes a month after a driver plowed his white Ryder rental van into a lunch-hour crowd in Toronto, killing 10 people and injuring 15.

Mississauga is regarded as the sixth -largest city, in Canada, with a population of around 700,000 people, settled on the Lake Ontario about 20 miles (32 km) west of Toronto.
