The Monsoon has reached few parts of the north India, which include, east Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh is all set to hit Delhi in the next 24 to 48 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) told on a Wednesday night.

It is yet to announce the onset of monsoon in the national capital, Delhi.
“Several parts of north India have been witnessing pre-monsoon showers. The northern limit of monsoon passes through Veraval, Amreli, Ahmedabad, Udaipur, Sawai Madhopur, Aligarh (west Uttar Pradesh), Tehri (Uttarakhand), and Amritsar (Punjab). It is expected to hit Delhi in the next 24-48 hours,” IMD’s Additional Director General Mritunjay Mohaptara said.
The normal onset date for the monsoon in the national capital, Delhi, is the June, 29th.
The monsoon, which was seems like lethargic until last week, has revived and the various parts of the nation which have been receiving moderate and rainfall since then in the various parts of the India.
though, the overall monsoon deficiency in the whole nation is persisting still stands at around minus 10 percent.
“Southwest monsoon further advanced into some more parts of Gujarat region, some parts of East Rajasthan, remaining parts of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Bihar and Jharkhand, entire Madhya Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh; most parts of West Uttar Pradesh Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, entire Jammu & Kashmir and some parts of Punjab,” the Met department told in its daily monsoon report.
Conditions are favourable for further advance in the Southwest Monsoon into remaining parts of the India, Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab and entire Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi for the next 48 hours, it added further.
