NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination) MDS is an entrance exam for various Post Graduation dental courses in India. Under the Dentist Act, 1948 no entrance is valid for entry to MDS courses at the state or institutional level. National Board of Examination (NBE) has released NEET MDS 2019 online application form. Candidates can fill and submit their forms at the official website.
NEET MDS Registration 2019
It is a Post-Graduation level exam which offer MDS course, registration can be done from 31st October and can download NEET NDS Admit Card from November 2018 onwards. Exam is going to be held on 14th December 2018.The candidates who have bachelor degree in dental surgery course and have one year internship in recognised Dental College can only appear for the exam otherwise you are not eligible for NEET MDS 2019 test. It is 3 hour duration exam and the mode of examination will be online only and multiple choice questions will be asked and there will be no negative marking in the exam. The students who qualify the entrance test will be accepted at all level of Dental Colleges in India whether it is government or private colleges.
EXAM PATTERN FOR NEET MDS 2019:
It is a 3 hour duration exam and the mode of exam will be a computer based test.
It is a multiple choice questions format examination which carries total number of 240 questions and there will be no negative marking. The syllabus for NEET MDS 2019 will be the subjects in the Bachelor Degree in Dental Surgery which include 17 subjects .There will be one mark for each question and from each subject there will be about 12-15 questions.
NEET MDS APPLICATION FEES:
For SC/ST/PWD (PH) candidates the registration fees will be Rs.2750 and
For General/OBC candidates registration fees will be Rs.3750.
The payment can be done through online modes such as net banking or by using credit or debit card.
NEET PASSING MARKS CRITERIA:
For General Category minimum percentile of 50 is required to pass the examination.
For SC/ST/OBC Category minimum 40 percentile is required to pass the exam and
For PWD (PH) Category minimum 45 percentile is required to clear the examination.
NEET MDS 2019 ELIGIBILITY FOR EXAMINATION:
As per Dentist Act, 1948 following are the eligibility criteria for NEET MDS examination:
- Aspirants who want to apply for NEET MDS 2019 Examination must hold a bachelor degree or passing certificate from a recognised Dental College or Institute.
- Candidates must carry minimum one year of rotatory internship at a recognised college or institute by March 2018.
- Candidate must be an Indian citizen or a citizen from overseas who is an Indian Card Holder.
NEET MDS 2019 EVENT DATES:
Candidates must keep a track on important dates related to NEET MDS Examination so that they don’t miss any important dates related to this examination.
- From 31st October 2018 NEET MDS 2019 Application Form will be available online on their official website nbe.edu.in
- Last date to fill application form will be 27th November 2018.
- NEET MDS 2019 admit cards will be issued on last week of November and first week of December, one or two weeks prior to the examination.
- NEET MDS 2019 exam is going to be held on 14th December 2018 and the result will be announced by 25th January 2019.
NEET MDS APPLICATION FORM 2019:
NEET MDS 2019 Application Form can be filled online from 31st October 2018 through NBE Website
The application form has four major steps:
Step 1: Create your Profile
Candidates who are applying for the first time on NBE Website they will be asked to create a new profile on NBE website. The candidates who have previously applied for NEET MDS Examination will be asked for their login details.
The candidates who are applying for the first time and are creating a new profile on NBE website will be asked few details such as their Email ID, Contact Number and their Address. Few questions like Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, gender etc.
Then you have to enter a login name and have to set a password for login purposes. After reading the privacy policy, agree to the terms and conditions. Than you have to upload your photograph and signature for completing your profile.
Step 2: Application Filling
Candidates will be asked to fill their personal information details on MDS page such as nationality, State and Religion of the Candidate, Details of their Education and internship (must upload your certificates for verification purposes), Quota Applied (based on eligibility) etc.
Candidates who are interested to work for the Armed Forces can express their interest in this column. After verifying all the details Candidates can then move on to the next step.
Step 3: Selecting Exam Schedule and Centre
NEET MDS 2019 will conduct examination across the country. Therefore, Candidates have choice to select the Exam Centre according to their accessibility and comfort. The exam will be conducted for 4 days in 2 schedules, that is morning and evening so that candidates can also select the time schedule according to their preferences.
Step 4: Payment for Application Fee
The payment can be done only through online mode such as net banking or by using debit or credit cards. The application fees should be paid within30 minutes in completing the payment procedure for avoiding transaction failure. The application will be submitted after successful completion of the payment.
