Commuters in Delhi may face difficulties as auto, taxi, petrol, CNG stations on strike day 

Well, reports are coming that all 400 petrol pumps in Delhi with linked CNG dispensing units will remain shut from 6 am on Monday till 5 am on Tuesday. Sources are saying that the owner and the worker of these petrol pumps are protesting against the Delhi government’s refusal to reduce Value Added Tax (VAT) on diesel and petrol in the national capital. As you all may know that the government isn’t looking supportive in that issue.

Some sources are indicating that the Delhi Petrol Dealers Association (DPDA), confirmed, “The central government had slashed the rate of petrol and diesel by Rs 2.50 per liter each on September 4. This was followed by a reduction of VAT by various states including neighboring Haryana and Uttar Pradesh bringing relief to their residents. But Delhi government refused to reduce VAT on fuel both petrol and diesel resulting in fuel becoming more expensive than bordering Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.”

Also, the sources are saying that this statement is the reply of state government’s refusal to reduce the price has led to a sharp decline in the sale of diesel and petrol in the national capital in this quarter. You all should know that the main reason of this protest is to decrease the petrol prices because the demand has been lower in this weekend and it dropped to 50 percent to 60 percent in the case of diesel and 25 percent in the case of petrol.

Overall, you al should know that from today all the 400 pumps of Delhi will neither purchase nor sell Petrol, Diesel, and CNG. Also, the reports are coming that Delhi’s CM Arvind Kejriwal alleged that the strike was politically motivated and sponsored by the BJP. He was very sure that his decision is quite great and it will help the public in the upcoming days.
