Ghaziabad became India’s most polluted city after all today’s result. Yes! You are reading it right, for the second consecutive day on Tuesday the air quality is very low and the AQI stood at 451 on Tuesday which was quite high then Monday. You all should know that the air quality index (AQI) measured by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) is shown the reports mentioned above. Also, yesterday the board has recorded the AQI around 430 which is increased dramatically.

You all should know that the city’s pollution and air quality is below than average. People who are living in Ghaziabad are witnessing the drastic spike in the past couple of days. Also, today is the fourth day and the polutation isn’t decreasing at all. Overall, you all can say that the air quality in Ghaziabad was in the ‘severe’ category. Some of you may know that the city has witnessed the second most polluted air quality in India, after Kanpur, on October 27 and 28, but today it broke all the records.
Now if we talk about the few previous days then you all should know that on Monday Ghaziabad’s AQI value was 404, and then on Sunday, it was 415. Now, you all should know that neighbor city Noida is also recorded AQI of 408 which isn’t good too. You all should know that the air quality index or AQI between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 and 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 and 200 ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 ‘poor’, 301 and 400 ‘very poor’ and 401 and 500 “severe.”
Overall, today he Ghaziabad administration woke up and it looks like that they are going to take few steps. This first step is the closure of major construction works on the Ghaziabad stretch of the Delhi Meerut Expressway. Authorities also ordered the shutting of construction of two major flyovers at Vasundhara and Raj Nagar Extension. Also, the other public construction works will be taken off the city.
