Hindus cannot wait endlessly for the Ram temple to be built in Ayodhya: VHP

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s outlook that directs the people that the government have to wait for the Supreme Court to provide its judgment in the Ram Janmbhoomi, the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has dissociated itself from them by stating that the Hindu can’t wait so long for the court judgement.

VHP says Hindus can’t wait till eternity for court decision on Ram Temple; demands legislation

The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) said that the Hindus cannot wait endlessly for the Ram temple to be built in Ayodhya. They also added by saying that for years this matter has been undecided in the court of law and now it is the high time for the government to sanction a law for the construction of  the Ram temple.

Alok Kumar who is the president of Vishva Hindu Parishad said in one of his statement related to this matter that, “The only way forward is to enact a legislation and clear the way for construction of the Ram temple. The Hindu society cannot be expected to wait till eternity”.

For the first time PM Modi breaks his silence against Ram Mandir matter, he said, “The ordinance on triple talaq was brought after the verdict of Supreme Court. We want the issue to be solved within the framework of Constitution. The ordinance on Ram Mandir can arise only after legal process gets over and Supreme Court gives its verdict”.

Though, he accused the Congress, particularly those who have acted as lawyers in the argument, for postponing the legal procedure in the Ram temple matter. He added “I would urge the Congress not to allow their lawyers to delay judicial process”.

This stand as well as the statement of Vishva Hindu Parishad came after PM Modi statement related to this issue. PM Modi in one of his latest interview said that his government would not take along in an order for the Ram temple in advance of the Supreme Court judgment. He also said by supporting his statement that the government will see the sights of all legal choices related to this issue. However, this viewpoint was supported by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

In the last year of October month, the Supreme Court had said that it will take up the Babri mosque-Ram temple heated discussion in the first week of January 2019.

Alok Kumar on behalf of Vishva Hindu Parishad’s stand said, “The Ayodhya title case has been pending in courts for past 69 years. Appeals have been pending since 2011. This has been a long wait.”

Alok Kumar also added his statement by saying that the VHP would carry on its battles against the Ram Mandir construction and will try to convince the PM Modi as well as the members of Parliament.

He said, “VHP will continue to campaign for construction of the Ram temple. Further strategy will be decided by sants at the dharam sansad (religious parliament) on January 31 during the Kumbh Mela”
