Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2019 is just few days away to showcase its world’s biggest technology conference on 8th January 2019. The 2019 CES is going to be the biggest edition ever as the latest generation technologies such as 5G mobility and Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be the main focus of the event. CES 2019: What to expect?

There is no doubt that 5G is going to be the centre of attraction of the biggest trade event this year. Last month, Chipset giant Qualcomm launched the Snapdragon 855 processor with 5G support. The chip is customized to power a series of flagship smartphones together with OnePlus 7 and Samsung Galaxy S10 this year. This year trade show, we can highly assume the new smartphones with 5G compatibility.

It is expected that the network operators are going to demonstrate live 5G demos at the event. It is also expected from this trade show that other than smartphones, non-smartphone categories will also highlight 5G compatibility. LG is allegedly is going to unveil a series of smart home appliances power-driven by 5G.

Also, Rollable TVs are now turning out to be a real this year. In the previous year, LG revealed a 65-inch display that can be rolled like a sheet of paper. The OLED display sports 4K resolution.

LG has explained its new technology by saying, “The newly-unveiled 65-inch rollable UHD OLED display especially highlights the distinctive technological edges and unlimited potential of OLEDs. It can be rolled up and hidden when not in use, and the small size of the rolled-up screen means that it can be more easily moved and stored, allowing for better space utilization, something existing displays can’t deliver”.

As per the recent report of Bloomberg, in this year, LG is planning to launch these foldable TVs commercially and CES 2019 might be the best choice to launch its smart TVs range.

As per the recent reports, Toshiba is going to launch new OLED TVs with 4K HDR resolution as well as Amazon’s Alexa digital assistant. On the other hand, Panasonic and Samsung are also expected to present next generation smart TVs.

Not only these ground-breaking foldable TVs will be there in CES 2019 but also you can observe demonstrations of 8K displays. Possibly, this year 8K displays might be commercially accessible.
