Top Five Tips for Instant Relaxation on the Go

Work, play, travel, commute – regardless of what we are doing, all too often we are on the go. Even at home on the couch, if you scroll quickly enough through your social media feed, you can easily exhaust yourself. Our world is fast paced, and our stress levels are at an all-time high. It’s no wonder that there is an epidemic of anxiety diagnoses because we don’t give ourselves the time to calm down and recharge.
International Yoga Day PicturesWith these tips, however, you can instantly relax on the go, so try them out today:

  • Have a Relaxation Playlist

Music has many therapeutic qualities, in the sense that it can be used to improve your productivity and help you relax. You likely have an upbeat playlist and one used for when you want to relax in bed. Use them. Listen to upbeat music at work with a staccato beat for greater focus. Listen to calming music on your break to help you relax. Whatever mood you want to be in, use music to help you get there.

  • Use Relaxing Scents

Just as music can help encourage a certain mood, so too can scents. You can invest in lavender-scented washing detergent, for example, so that you can feel more relaxed throughout the day and at night when you go to bed. Lavender is also meant to improve sleep quality.

  • Enjoy a Caffeine Free Tea or Other Non-Caffeinated Drink

When relaxing, stay far away from the caffeine. Instead, try to stay as hydrated as possible, or if you need to drink a tree, try and make it a caffeine-free one. If you want to relax quickly, however, many teams don’t contain caffeine that is ideal for relaxing, like Chamomile. Chamomile and peppermint both help the body relax by encouraging your muscles to release tension. This can even improve insomnia, and help you get a deeper, better sleep every night.

  • Have Fun During Breaks

Having fun might bring up your heart rate and increase your adrenaline levels, but make no mistake, it is the best way to rid yourself of stress in a short period. It helps you take your mind completely off work and enjoy yourself. The best part is that you can have fun on the go in short bursts just as quickly as you could if you took the whole afternoon off. Simply find what works best. If you love the casino, for example, you don’t have to visit one. You can instead play online casino games and give yourself the thrill your brain so desperately needs.

  • Practice Meditation

Meditation can be done anywhere, so long as you know how to do it. Follow videos online or even get an app on your phone to guide you through the process. Ideally, you should be able to meditate on the go wherever you are, just by practising your breathing and slowing down your thought process.

Don’t let chronic stress impact your health and hurt your career or personal life. Instead, learn how to relax on the go, and you can take a step back and recharge whenever you need it.
