Haryana is one of the 29 states in India, located in northern part of the nation and Chandigarh is the state capital. It was carved out on 1 November 1966 from the prior state of East Punjab on linguistic as well as on cultural basis. The Indian National Lok Dal had seized two seats with a vote share of 24.4 per cent, while on the other hand, the Indian National Congress was third by accessing only one seat with a vote share of 23 per cent.
