The online registration procedure of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2020 has been started from today onwards, that is on September 3, 2019. The interested as well as eligible candidates can apply for the following on the official website of JEE, i.e. jeemain.nic.in.

Here are some simple steps to apply for JEE Main 2020:
Step 1: At first, you have to log on to the official website of JEE (Main) 2020 at jeemain.nic.in
Step 2: On the homepage, you have to search for the link which says “JEE MAIN 2020 January Session”
Step 3: Make your log in account
Step 4: Use your credentials to Login and fill the form completely and correctly
Step 5: Upload the required documents and at last pay the application fee
Step 6: In order to complete the process, click on submit. And you are all done

Dates for Registration: 3rd to 30th September 2019
Downloading of Admit Cards: 6th December 2019
Examination Dates: 6th to 11th January 2020
Date of Declaring Result: 31st January 2020
JEE Main registration 2020: Eligibility Criteria
Age Criterion:
There is no age limit which has been prescribed to apply for JEE Main 2020.
Total Attempts:
There will be no attempt limit.
Qualifying Exam:
The candidates who are applying for the examination must have passed 10+2 level exam or its equivalent in 2018 or 2019 from a recognized board or university.
Appearing Candidates:
All those candidates who are appearing in class 12th exam are also eligible to apply.
Diploma Holders:
Those candidates who are holding diploma are also eligible to apply for admissions but only in IITs.
Qualifying Subjects:
The candidates who are in their 12th level must have passed with at least of five mandatory subjects and these are as foolows: Physics, Mathematics along with any one from the Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology or any other technical vocational.
JEE Main Overview
Joint Entrance Examination Main is commonly known as JEE Main exam and it is a national level examination. The conducting body of JEE Main is National Testing Agency (NTA). The mode of examination is online or Computer based test. For Paper 2 drawing segment, the exam is conducted through pen and paper based test. The category of the examination is Undergraduate Exam and the main purpose of examination is admissions into NITs, IIITs and CFTIs or qualifying test for JEE Advanced.
The total number of attempts for JEE Main is 6 and generally twice in a year. The duration of JEE Main exam is of 3 hours and the total number of marks are 360. For paper 1 there are 8 numbers of slots for each exam out of which one has to be chosen and two slots for Paper 2.
Every year more than 12 lakh of applicants apply for the test and the total number of test centres in India is 264 and 9 in abroad. States such as Uttarakhand, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, and Nagaland are the part of JEE Main system. The states such as Rajasthan, Punjab, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh, accept the scores of JEE Main.
