Realme Buds Wireless Review: Price Specs Features Specification

The wireless earphones are becoming very popular, and we could very well see Realme get into that space in the coming months. However, the company has taken on wireless headphones in an affordable form — neckband-style earphones.

Realme Buds Wireless Review

The headset has a flexible neckband with metal modules at the ends, short cables that lead to the earbuds, and the plastic earbuds themselves with the yellow-and-black colour scheme. The Buds Wireless also comes in red and grey colours. With the simple design, the build quality is decent with a lightweight at just 30g, and comfortable to wear with silicone ear-tips and can be used for long hours at a stretch.

The Buds Wireless comes with magnets to magnetically attach the earbuds when not in use. By doing so, you can also pause what you’re listening to. Detaching the earbuds will automatically connect them to your primary device even when we didn’t want it to, which was bothersome.  Calls would be automatically diverted away from the smartphone’s earpiece without us knowing, the battery would run down, and the phone wouldn’t automatically connect to other devices such as a Bluetooth car audio system. Perhaps a snug storage case would have helped, but the Realme Buds Wireless doesn’t come with one.

The sales package includes three pairs of silicone ear tips, ear wings that are pre-attached to the earbuds, and a Micro-USB cable for charging. The charging port is on the underside of the right module, which also has the controls for playback, calls, and volume.

As far as the controls are concerned, there are raised markings on the buttons so you can feel the controls, but you will still need to know which is which by memory. The top and bottom buttons are for volume control, while the center button with Realme’s ‘R’ logo can be used to pause music or answer calls. The buttons offer a nice tactile feel and are easy enough to use.

Realme Buds Wireless Features Specification

For a Rs 1,599 pair of wireless headphones, the Realme Buds Wireless sound really good. The Buds are said to be tuned by Norwegian DJ Alan Walker. The tuning has been done in a way to emphasise bass response, but also with enough dynamic range so mids and highs sound clear and distinct.

With the Realme Buds Wireless, the company assures 12 hours of playback. The Buds Wireless also comes with fast charging support. Realme says a 10-minute charge will offer 100 minutes of music playback. The Buds don’t take long to fully charge, but the problem is the little LED light never turns green even after reach 100 percent charge. The light stays red, so you will have to trust your instincts here.
