Ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections slated for October 21, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addresses a public rally in Maharashtra’s Jalgaon. He will also be addressing a rally in Sakoli. He will be campaigning for the second consecutive term for the BJP-led government in the state. Meanwhile, the home minister Amit Shah has multiple programmes scheduled across Kolhapur, Satara, Pune, and Aurangabad.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will launch the party’s election campaign in Maharashtra today. He is also scheduled to address rallies in Chandivali, Dharavi and Latur areas of Maharashtra.
Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will campaign for Maharashtra Assembly elections today. Yogi Adityanath will campaign in Umarkhede, Maharashtra at 11 am.
Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be releasing its election manifesto (Sankalp Patra) for Haryana at 10.30 am at a hotel in Chandigarh. BJP’s poll manifesto for Haryana is likely to focus on youth and families. BJP working president JP Nadda will present the manifesto today presence of Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, BJP’s in-charge for Haryana Anil Jain and election in-charge Naresh Tomar.
At 9:00 AM, the Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reached Marine Drive in Mumbai for ‘Mumbai Chalali BJP sobat (Mumbai walks with BJP) event’. Fadnavis walked along with other leaders chanting ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ and ‘Vande Mataram’.
PM Modi Addresses Rally In Jalgaon
At 11:00 AM, BJP’s poll manifesto has been released by working party president JP Nadda. The manifesto, titled ‘Mhare Sapne Ka Haryana’ or ‘My dreams of Haryana’ focuses on farmers, labourers, and industrialists, BJP Haryana president Subhash Barala.
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said, “The BJP’s manifesto is based on the principles of Ram Rajya. We had given a transparent administration and zero tolerance towards corruption in our previous manifesto. Now, we have achieved this since it was our first resolution.”
The BJP government promises to start a pink bus service for girl students keeping in view their safety in its poll manifesto The girls will also be given self-defence training. Moreover, special centres will be set up to help women in distress, the BJP said.
While addressing a rally in Haryana, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said, “Unlike the previous chief ministers of Haryana– be it a CM of Congress or of INLD– who used to run their government from Delhi and not from the state, CM Manohar Lal Khattar runs the government by working at the grass-root level.”
JP Nadda said that the BJP’s poll manifesto for the Haryana elections represents all sections of society. The poll manifesto titled ‘Mhare Sapne Ka Haryana’ addresses host of issues, from farmer’s distress to the safety of girls in the state. The manifesto also looks after creating job opportunities for state residents.

Around 11:50 AM, PM Narendra Modi reached in Maharashtra’s Jalgaon to address a public meeting. He is accompanied by chief minister Devendra Fadnavis. While addressing the public meeting there, PM Narendra Modi appealed to people that it is time to re-elect a government under CM Devendra Fadnavis’s leadership.
He said, “Four months ago, all of you voted for a capable and empowered India. You voted for an India that earns its place on the global map. You voted for the Govt that takes all possible steps to complete the dreams and aspirations of 130 crore Indians.”
He further added, “J&K and Ladakh isn’t just a piece of land for us, but is the crown of India. Looking at the security needs, we took the necessary steps. We have also tried our best to ensure normalcy in the area, amidst all the negative powers in and around the area.”
He attacked the opposition and said, “Can these leaders, who’re trying to fool the people with their crocodile tears, bring back Article 370 in Kashmir? Will the people of India allow them to? Will the people of India accept it?”
Commenting on NCP chief Sharad Pawar over a video of Pawar that went viral on social media, PM Modi said, “People who were seen on TV for years cannot accommodate their workers, how will they accommodate you?”
PM Modi said that the NCP and the Congress speak the language of the neighbouring country as their interests are not in tandem with the national interest. He said, “The opposition seems to be speaking on lines of the neighbouring country on Article 370. I challenge the opposition to declare in their manifesto that they will bring back Article 370…Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are not just a piece of land for us, but a crown of India.”
Meanwhile, addressing a rally in Kohlapur in Maharashtra, Home Minister Amit Shah lauded PM Modi’s move on Article 370 and Pulwama attack as said, “Modi Ji conducted an airstrike, destroyed the terrorist camps in Balakot (on Pakistan’s side), carried out a surgical strike and killed the terrorists. However, Rahul Gandhi said that we don a patriotic robe and hawk blood.
You’ve formed a double-decker govt. On top, it is PM Modi, and beside him is Maharashtra Chief Minister Fadnavavis Ji. Both these governments have worked for the progress of Maharashtra and the region of Kolhapur.”
