Bangladesh national selection committee on the other hand recalled left-arm spinner Arafat Sunny along with pace bowler Al-Amin Hossain.

Talking about Arafat Sunny, he has taken 12 wickets in 10 T20Is, and was suspended for the duration of the 2016 ICC World Twenty20 for an illegal bowling action as well as since then he has not played for his side. In January 2017, the spinner was also arrested for posting private photos of his girlfriend on social media.

Al-Amin Hossain on the other hand has also not featured in the Bangladesh squad since the 2016 ICC World Twenty20.

Coming to Opener Tamim Iqbal, he has also made a comeback after a break for the duration of which he missed the tri-series at home that involves Afghanistan and Zimbabwe.

Chief selector Minhajul Abedin was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz, “We have picked Arafat as he is bowling quite consistently in the domestic arena. We already have Shakib [Al Hassan] but we need someone who has the experience of playing the shorter format,”

“Al Amin was picked as we have seen there is some grass on the Indian wickets. In the recent past he had improved his fitness to quite an extent and he is one of the few bowlers who can bowl with the seam up and we have seen that pacers who are bowling with the seam up are quite successful in India,” Abedin added.

The 29-year-old Hossain was also last featured in the 2016 ICC World Twenty20.

“We have recalled Sunny because we need someone experienced for India, which is a tough country. Al-Amin comes into the squad as some of our other fast bowlers are injured,” said Minhajul Abedin.

The T20I series between the two sides is going to start with the first match on November 3 which will be held at Delhi. The further two games are going to be played at Rajkot and Nagpur on November 7 and 10, correspondingly.

The selectors have also decided to drop Sabbir Rahman, Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Rubel Hossain as well as Taijul Islam from the team of the last T20 Bangladesh that has been played during the tri-nation series at home.
