Sony launches Dolby Audio Home Theatre Price at Rs 14,990 Specification Features

Sony India on Wednesday launched its new entry-level model soundbar – HT-S20R with Dolby Audio support. The soundbar is claimed to deliver a cinematic experience with 5.1 channels of real surround sound. Priced at Rs 14,990, the device is specially designed and tuned for India to combine dramatic, high-quality sound with 400W power output, Bluetooth and USB connectivity for seamless music. The 400W comes from the soundbar’s 160mm driver unit of a subwoofer. It is based on the research conducted by Sony Engineers and feedback from consumers for an India specific model.

It has an external subwoofer that works with a 3 channels soundbar. The device comes with a USB port to plug and play music via a pen drive. It can be connected to a smartphone using Bluetooth connection.

The company claims that HT-S20R delivers an enhanced audio experience by giving movies the soundtrack they deserve with 5.1 channels of real surround sound. It said that users can expect dynamic, immersive and cinematic surround sound.

The soundbar comes with a metal finish that integrates cinema tech into the home. It has HDMI ARC support which lets you connect to compatible TV’s with a single cable. For non-HDMI compatible TV’s, the HT-S20R offers the option of connecting to the optical input or analog input for you to enjoy the high-quality sound it produces.

The soundbar has a button for every sound which means that now you can choose the button which is right for what you’re watching. It also allows one to pick the mode from Auto, Standard, Cinema, and Music that best suits the content being played. You can also select Night and Voice modes and use the subwoofer control to fine-tune your viewing and listening experience

The HT-S20R is available across all Sony Center, major electronic stores and e-commerce portals in India. The soundbar can be purchased starting from February 9, 2020.
