Chinese smartphone manufacturer Honor started rolling out of the latest version of the Magic UI 3.0 on Wednesday on its Honor 9X, Honor 20 and Honor View 20 smartphones as of now. The update is based on Android 10 and aims at improving users’ experiences with their Honor devices. Honor in a note said that the company is anticipating roll out the latest update on more Honor smartphones soon. It also added, “All devices updated to Magic UI 3.0 will be safeguarded through the self-developed Trusted Execution Environment operating system.”
Honor smartphones starts roll-out of Magic UI 3 update
The update has been announced to be made available to these smartphones via software/ firmware update. The company claims the new software will bring with itself a number of new features, along with an all-new experience and aesthetically pleasing UX design. Some of the highlight features are:
New Dark Mode: The company claims that it strikes an optimal contrast between text and the background, increasing the legibility and minimizing visual fatigue.
Furthermore, the colour saturation is also fine-tuned to ensure greater consistency between the Normal and Dark mode.
Enhanced visual elements to support feedback: According to the company’s claims, users can expect quicker and smoother feedback when they navigate around their smartphone with the Magic UI 3.0. The update introduces smoother transitions between applications and more animations such as spring motion when users tap on their screens.
Further, when users swipe up to minimize an application, the animation follows the trajectory of the swipe, allowing stronger visual feedback to facilitate a more enhanced experience.
Improved photography performance: Users can now implement filters directly from the viewfinder before the shot is taken with the new update. The camera app has also been revamped and now offers a more modernized look with a more visible zoom bar to allow users to adjust the degree of magnification more easily. Users will also be prompted when they switch camera modes. The Magic UI 3.0 also promises to make video recording hassle-free with accessible features such as the assistive grid, horizontal level, and timer.
Apart from these, the latest update has brought several bug fixes and improves the system stability as well. Some new features like Game booster and added security features along with bug fixes like connectivity issues and all come along with this update.
Moreover, Honor with the latest Magic UI 3.0 update is aiming to enhance Smart Office experience with multi-screen collaboration. In this, users can seamlessly transfer data or play music between multiple devices without any lag.
