Coronavirus is a major concern for the world and now India, the second most populated country in the world, has taken severe actions such as “Nationwide Lockdown” in the country, to stop the spread of coronavirus in the nation.
About 1,000 Foreigners Evacuated From Delhi In Five Different Special Flights
Before that, the government has also suspended international flights due to which many international tourists and nationals were trapped here, but Indian officials have evacuated all such foreign nationals (around thousand in numbers) from Delhi.
For evacuating these foreign nationals total of five special flights were sent from Delhi amid a three-week countrywide lockdown due to coronavirus outbreak.
According to the officials, there were more than 150 Japanese nationals here, they were today evacuated on a special flight that flew in from Tokyo.
In addition to that, there were four other flights that flew 500 people to Germany, 120 to Ukraine along with 240 to two Baltic nations.
Officials also stated that there were two more special flights to Frankfurt (Germany) as well as Austria that were scheduled from the Delhi airport on Thursday in order to evacuate 750 people, out of which mostly were Germans.
“Since one of the three runways at the Delhi airport is being used to park grounded aircraft, an additional is kept clear to cater to such special flights that are arranged over the next few days,” an official said.
