Amidst the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the country has been in a mode of lockdown until April 14, 2020, as announced by the Prime Minister. Due to this several boards have postponed and even cancelled their exams for few classes. Haryana School Education Board has also postponed the class 10th & 12th board exams due to COVID-19. The board has postponed the exams that were scheduled between 13 March 2020 to 31 March 2020 and will be rescheduled in the month of April 2020.

The Haryana Board has been conducting the annual examination from 03 March 2020 onwards. This year 12th boards exams were scheduled from03 March 2020 to 31 March 2020, while 10th Boards were scheduled from 04 March 2020 to 27 March 2020. The new dates are expected to be released once the lockdown will be over on April 15, 2020. The Board will issue new admit cards for the revised examinations which will be released four to five days the commencement of the examination at its official website i.e. bseh.org.in.

Reportedly, a total of 7,41,460 candidates have registered to appear for the board exam this year with 3,61,329 appeared for Secondary exam while 2,32,157 appeared for a senior secondary exam. 89,423 candidates gave the open examinations.
Meanwhile, the Haryana Board has come up with a digital learning app, called ‘Bright Tutee’ for the students studying in class 9th and class 10th. The board revealed that the app covers maths, science, English, Hindi, and social science subjects along with providing comprehensive learning, assessment, and exam preparation material in three languages: Hindi, English, and English-Hindi (bilingual).
The board has revealed the same via an official notification which reads, “All the registered institutions are hereby informed that in present circumstances of Coronavirus when all the schools are closed and with the introduction of technology in education, the Board recommends its institutions to advise their students to use the digital learning content of Bright Tutee app for students studying in classes 9 and 10.”
