Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Announced INR 1 Crore For Covid-19 Warriors If They Die Fighting Against Coronavirus

Delhi Government has made a great initiative towards the Covid-19 warriors by announcing Rs 1 crore for the families of health workers, if in any case they die being involved with COVID-19 cases.

Earlier, the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has also said that the doctors, nurses, paramedics, technicians, as well as other health care professionals who are involved in dealing with the Covid-19 patients, are going to get a special insurance cover of Rs 50 lakh.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said, those who are serving the coronavirus patients are “no less than soldiers protecting the country”

“Like any soldier protecting his country while risking his life…. You are also risking your life to save people of this country,” Mr Kejriwal further added.

Kejriwal also tweeted in his recent post, “Interacted with Delhi govt doctors and paramedic staff on COVID-19 duty over video conference. I salute their courage and dedication. Have assured them full govt support. They had some excellent suggestions which we will implement immediately”

On the other hand, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Trivendra Singh Rawat has also announced life insurance for thousands of state government employees, who are fighting against the Covid-19 pandemic in the state. From this, 68,457 employees will be benefited of Rs 4 lakh insurance, including health, sanitation, police and media personnel, who are recognised as ‘COVID Warriors’ by the government for their exceptional role in fighting against the deadly contagious virus.

Not only India, but the world is also applauding the health care professionals who are dealing COVID-19 cases very closely with such a contagious and deadly virus, without thinking of their own life. However, almost every country across the globe is observing lockdown to avoid the spread of coronavirus in their countries, but they are still thanking the medical professionals in many different ways.

Many people from European countries such as Italy, Spain and UK, were also seen standing in their balconies, clapping for the medical professionals as a mark of thankfulness and appreciation.

About two weeks ago, India also applauded for all the Covid-19 warriors by coming out of their balconies, clanging utensils as well as blowing conch shells after Prime Minister Modi’s appeal on the day of “Bharat Band”.

In the meantime, coronavirus, which initially originated in China’s Wuhan city, has spread to more than 140 countries, infecting over 800,000 and claiming 42,000 lives of the people, across the globe.
