Amid the ongoing nationwide lockdown to combat the coronavirus outbreak, Kendriya Vidyalayas of Delhi region has started the online classes for classes 9 to 12 on Facebook and Youtube.

These online classes for all subjects have gained huge responses from parents and students and have approximately garnered 90,000 views and 40,000 comments in two days’ time. KVS Delhi region has got about 13,343 subscribers on YouTube. Teachers have created playlists in the categories, of subjects, classes, and lessons.
A team of teachers was constructed across all streams and classes to begin these live interactive classes. The timetable constructed by the team was sent to all the students through the WhatsApp school groups and Youtube. Important instructions were shared with the principals of the KVs Delhi region regarding the live classes that were further passed on to the teachers and students.
The team of teachers has also created a playlist on the Youtube channel for students to view these lessons, class, and subject-wise. Apart from this, different software like PowerPoint windows, movie makers and screen recorders, etc are also been used by teachers to create educational videos. Homeworks, assignments are sent to students using different apps/software like Google Form, Kahoot.com (For MCQ), Hot potatoes and Quizzes.com.
The online live classes for classes 6 to 8 will start from tomorrow onwards. Apart from this, the live programs and the recorded ones of NIOS are available for Class 10 and Class 12 students.
