MIUI 12 Update Launched: List Of Eligible Phones Roll-Out Schedule Announced

Despite COVID-19 stopping trades all over the world and effecting many occupations and fields. Xiaomi appears to follow its planned route for 2020 and beyond. Yesterday, the company announced a new smartphone- the Mi 10 Youth Edition- in China, and alongside it also revealed its next-gen Android skin, MIUI 12.

MIUI 12 Update Launched

The latest version of the company’s take on Google’s Android OS is going to offer a variety of new features and visual upgrades over its predecessor. It not only promises smooth performance but also gives enhanced functionality with the help of features such as an updated version of dark mode, AI calling, new privacy and security tools, multi0tasking features, animations, and wallpapers.

Xiaomi also claims that MIUI 12 is also going to be the first mobile OS that has passed TUV Rheinland’s “Android System Enhanced Privacy Protection Test.”

MIUI 12: When Will It Be Available For People?

For now, Xiaomi has only launched the MIUI 12 in China and as such, the software will not be released for the international audience for quite a few week at least. As of now, Xiaomi has released its closed beta program for users in China to receive early feedback on the ongoing development of the MIUI 12.

We can expect the first stable build of the MIUI 12 OS in June this year, post which we can expect a timeline for the release of the software in markets such as India. This plan will also depend greatly on how the coronavirus situation comes out across the world in the upcoming months.

MIUI 12:Which Devices Are Eligible?

Xiaomi has also announced all the devices which will receive the MIUI 12 updates. While it does not cover most of the Xiaomi and Redmi phones You would expect to see getting the update, there are few notable omissions.

The update will be rolled out in batches, with the company for now releasing a list of three batches for the roll-out of the MIUI 12 update.

So if you own any of the above smartphones, you will receive the much-advanced version of OS. So wait for it to roll-out.
