On Wednesday morning, a fire took place in the forest area on the Yamuna river near Delhi’s Rajghat. A very huge quantity of black-colored smoke was spotted in several parts of the National Capital Region (NCR).

According to the sources, Delhi’s fire department received an unknown call from an unknown identity, who alerted about the flames around 02:45 PM. The bushfire caught aside from the Yamuna river, near Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Delhi.

When the fire department received the call, 10-15 fire tenders and extinguisher reached the spot and took blames under control. According to the officials, the fire tenders reached near 3:00 PM and tried their best to control the fire. The fire was brought under control after a very long time.

It is a matter of relief that no one has been harmed in this incident. But due to the fire, one of the important parts of the jungle has been damaged. Also, no casualties were found near the fire.

Some heavy projects have established near the Yamuna river and nothing serious news is coming from the project sites. Maybe, the huge fire attracted much attention of the passerby but the fire department received only one call.

When the fire was spotted, it has covered the nearest half area of the sky with black smoke. The cause of the fire is still unclear but, the officials are investigating the matter.

In 2011, an incident happened near the Rajghat’s powerhouse and again, a serious incident happened near the area. Many fire incidents are happening around the world and the human becomes a real reason behind this always. It is our responsibility to protect our nature.
