A Suicide Case has been witnessed in the Thane district of Maharashtra. According to the Shivaji Nagar police, the victim named Sachin Sable who used to live in Ambarnath executed suicide on 18th Feb 2021. Sachin used to work in Mumbai as a Child Welfare Project Officer. The police did not receive any suicide note at the scene. But later, the victim’s brother came forward and told the police officers that he found an email that narrated the whole mental trauma and suffering the Victim faced and suffered. In the mail, the victim narrated the incident that instigated him to take such an extreme action of committing suicide.
In the email, the victim told that a woman named Neeta Khedkar along with three policemen used to threaten him that they will register a case against him in relation to the suicide of Neeta Khedkar’s husband. They also demanded Rs. 9.50 lakhs from Sachin Sable in order to not to file a case against him regarding the same. As per the officials, the accused Neeta Khedkar who used to work at Nagpur in the Integrated Child Development Service came into contact with the victim.
She was a widow as her husband passed away. During their meeting, Neeta started to develop feelings for Sachin and later she started to pressurize him for marriage. Sachin who was 38 years old, refused Neeta’s proposal politely. However, Neeta got infuriated and started threatening Sachin, that she will accuse him in the police station, that he encouraged her husband for suicide. Neeta kept on molesting him for almost two months, more precisely between Dec 2020 to Feb 2021.
However, Sachin did not take her threat seriously but he was mentally frustrated. To add more misery to his situation, he got a phone call from Yashodharanagar Police Station in Nagpur stating that a case will be filed against him against the suicide case of Ms Khedkar’s husband and also demanded Rs. 9.50 lakhs, as mentioned above. Because of the continuous provocation and intimidation from the side of the policemen, Sachin executed Suicide on 18th February 2021 at his residence. The victim’s brother registered a case in the Shivaji Nagar police station. The police officials have filed a case against the woman, her daughter, one sub-inspector and two inspectors on 10th March 2021 under the IPC section relating to instigation of suicide and blackmailing.
