The leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Rishi Sharma has been arrested by the Police on a Sunday morning. Rishi Sharma was allegedly accused of the Aligarh hooch tragedy case and the police rewarded Rs 1 Lakh on him. Rishi was arrested from the Bulandshahar border, officials said. He was absconding for the last 10 days after taking the calamity of more than 100 lives in UP. Including a Scorpio car, many more sources of producing illegal alcohol have abounded from Rishi Sharma.

The raid of police took place in around five states of India including Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, Uttrakhand, and Uttar Pradesh for the last 10 days. Along with this, the police tracked around 500 phone call details, with 100 informers were initiated and around six police teams were appointed to catch Rishi Sharma, said Kalanidhi Naithani, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Aligarh on Sunday.

Also, the police said that they have already arrested Vipin Yadav, who was carrying the reward of Rs 50,000, Anil Chaudhary, and his brother Neeraj Chaudhary, who were carrying a reward of Rs 25,000. On the other side, the Brother of Rishi Sharma, Munish Sharma was put with a reward of Rs. 25,000 and Shiv Kumar also arrested by police as well. With all of this, the son and wife of Rishi Sharma have already arrested earlier.

According to the reports, around 17 cases have filed against them in the various police station of Aligarh, and in view of these reports, 61 people have been arrested by police, said Kalanidhi Naithani. She added that the worth property of Rs 5 Crore which belongs to the group has been occupied by Aligarh Administration and some more property worth Rs 100 crore is going underway for identification for further investigation.

When the news of liquor came out and the announcement issued that it was adulterated and around 100 people have lost their lives across Aligarh due to the heavy effect. When the police began raids in the area, the fake liquor was thrown or dumped into the canals and outlands places of the area.

When the information reached to police that the liquor has thrown in the nearby canals, the department ordered to stop the water flow in the Ganga canal to search for the bottles. Along with this, almost 530 quarter of liquor were found from the canal of the Hathras area.
