The South African batsman Faf du Plessis collided with Mohammad Hasnain while fielding on Saturday’s match against Peshawar Zalmi, leaving him injured. As soon as Faf du Plessis run into his Quetta Gladiators teammate, it was clearly noticed that something is off and the effect of their crashing left the South African batsman in painful situation.
It all happened on Saturday when Quetta Gladiators was competing against Peshawar Zalmi. It was 7th over in the match and Peshawar was playing their innings and Batsman David Miller hits the ball that moved towards the boundary. Both Faf and Hasnain ran towards the ball to stop it before hitting the boundary. In this process, Faf du Plessis run into Hasnain and the South African cricketer got injured and fell on the ground. He was seen lying on the ground after the hit and was not moving his body. Though, he was conscious and was talking to his teammates but it was visible that something has gone really off.
The injury made the South African cricketer to leave the ground and later left the match when he was taken to the hospital for medical treatment and examination. According to the media reports from Pakistan, Faf was taken to the hospital in Abu Dhabi for conducting further scans to check whether it is a serious injury or not. As he was rushed to the hospital, due to which he was not able to return to the field to play against Peshawar Zalmi on Saturday.
As per to the reports, Faf du Plessis is in stable condition and has gone through the medical examination in the Abu Dhabi hospital. The video of this incident is also available online and the fans are praying for his good health. Now talking about the match result, team Peshawar Zalmi won the game by 61 runs against Quetta Gladiators on June 12, Saturday.
The South African batsman Faf du Plessis has been appointed to play for the Quetta Gladiators franchise which was founded six years back in 2015. As of now, this franchise team has won only one PSL title in 2019. The sixth edition of this PSL cricket tournament was suspended by PCB on 4th March 2021 due to Covid-19 and has been currently resumed from 7th June 2021, Monday. The on-going Pakistan Super League 2021 is all set to conclude its league stage and soon the finale match of the tournament will be played on 24th June 2021, Thursday at Abu Dhabi’s cricket ground at Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium.
