She was performing the role of a verger in this comedy show. Her first appearance in the show was in the episode named The Arrival. On the other hand, her last appearance in the show was in the episode named Wife Swap. In the show, Alice was not only a verger but also a teaching assistant who made all the viewers laugh with her sitcom.

Who was Emma Chambers?

She was an English actress and comedian. She was blessed to John Chambers and his wife on 11th December 2021. Her father, John Chambers, was a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist. She was born in Doncaster, West Riding of Yorkshire, England. Her siblings Sarah and Simon are businessmen who are renowned for their Storm Model Management. Earlier, Emma studied in the St. Mary’s School and she enrolled herself in the St. Mary’s School in Winchester, Hampshire for her secondary education. She learnt acting skills in the 1980s at the  Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art where she met Ross Kemp who became a renowned actor later. Emma and Ross were classmates in the drama academy.

She had worked in The Bill, The Vicar of Dibley, Pond Life, How Do You Want Me?, Notting Hill, Take A Girl Like You, The Wind In The Willows, Little Robots and many more. Though she put all of her efforts to make her characters worth remembering yet she is mainly remembered for her character of Alice Tinke.
