The Amaravati is the new capital of Andhra Pradesh wich is named after the ancient town of Amaravati. Andhra Pradesh cabinet was taken the decision to named as Amaravati of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday. The Hindu reported that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu briefed the cabinet about the master plan for the capital. according to the indiatoday Naidu, who also briefed the cabinet about his visit to Singapore, said Singapore had come forward to build the capital.
He said the master plan for the first phase of the capital would be ready by May 15.The chief minister announced that the new capital would be linked with radial roads.
New Andhra Pradesh capital named Amaravati
The Andhra Pradesh Government on Wednesday approved Amaravati town, the ancient seat of power of Satavahana rulers, as its new capital coming up in the Vijayawada-Guntur region, which is also known for its historical and spiritual significance.
The resolution to this effect was passed by the state cabinet which met under chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu here.
Amaravati is located in Guntur district and the same name is adopted for the capital in view of its historical, spiritual and mythological significance, Naidu told reporters. It is the city of Lord Indra, the king of the gods, the chief minister said referring to mythology.
