The accident happened and occurred on Monday, March 14, 2022, at around 5: 27 PM on GA 23 near Jeff Smith Loop Road, in Tattnall County where the troopers from Post 18 Reidsville responded to a three-vehicle crash that occurred on the spot and stated in a statement that an SUV was heading south on GA 23 and the other SUV was heading north on GA 23 behind a commercial motor vehicle. The driver of the SUV crossed the centerline, hitting the commercial motor vehicle.

The officials identified the driver as Julie Bass Sikes of age 42 years old and the other driver was identified as Ashley Hartmeyer of age around 35 years old.
