She is now an idol for the physical challenge people as they can also play and live their life. Who Was Ishrat Akhtar?
She is from Bandar in the district of Baramulla. By profession, she is an international basketball player and she is now the first woman of Kashmir who has received this title as she dreamt. She has also qualified for Asia Oceania Wheelchair Basketball Championship which was held in Thailand. Her success story is now getting viral and many of the other popular personalities are coming down to meet her as she is making proud our country and as many people want to know what happened to her and how she was caught in this accident.
What Happened To Ishrat Akhtar?
She talked about the incident which happened to her on 24th August 2016. She met in an accident in which she got injuries in her body and her spine bone was also broken in this accident and this accident made her permanently disabled and now she has to spend her whole life in a wheelchair. She came to know about this wheelchair basketball team when she went to the indoor stadium in Srinagar where an India camp was going on and she participated in that camp and was selected for the national level.
In an interview, she says that she never thought of playing this game in different states and countries, and because of this game she sees the world and the world is so beautiful. She has also given motivational lectures to the women who are suffering from the same and she is now an idol for many of the teams and she has just started her journey. There is a lot to win in this journey and she will make her parents proud and do many other things. We wish her luck in her further journey.
