Priyanka Chopra faces legal trouble by a Film Producer

A punjabi film producer has filed a case against Priyanka Chopra over a title of a film that her production company allegedly intends to produce in Punjab.

The case is now scheduled for hearing on February 4, Thursday afternoon.

The producer Talwinder Singh Rathor has filed a suit a city civil court at Dindoshi against Chopra and her production company M/s. Purple Pebble Pictures claiming damages and seeking restraining orders for use of the title ‘IK ONKAR’ for the movie.

According to a leading daily, producer Talwinder Singh Rathor has filed a case in the civil court in Dindoshi against the actress and her production house M/s. Purple Pebbles Pictures.

He is claiming damages and wants to stop the use of the title as well. According to Rathor, he began working on the film in 2013-14 and named it Ik Onkar. He has already invested 5 cr towards it.

However, Rathor reportedly came across the news that Priyanka and her company are planning to make a Punjabi film, with the same title.

While Rathor has approached the IMPPA ( (Indian Motion Picture Producers Association), he has also approached the court to restrain PC and her production company from using the said title, concluded the report.
