Flydubai: 2 Indians killed among 62 Dead In Russia Plane Crash

It is now confirmed that two Indians are also killed among 62 killed in a Flydubai plane crash at Rostov-on-Don airport in southern Russia this morning, according to one of the lists of victims put out by Russian authorities.

According to that Rusian list, the two Indians who were killed in the crash were Anju Kathirvel Aiyappan and Mohan Shyam.

Vikas Swarup who is External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson said: “Our mission is checking with the local university and Indian nationals for confirmation,”.

 The accident was happened at 0050 GMT, according to one of the official statement from the emergencies ministry.

According to the one of the news agency, the Investigative Committee said iniatory information indicates the plane was landing when it hit the ground and broke into pieces at the airport and it  about 950 kilometers south of Russian capital city  Moscow.

It is confirmed that the all 62 people, including 7 crew members on the plane from Dubai were killed when the plane crashed out and burst into flames at the time when it was landing in Rostov-on-Don on Saturday morning, said a spokesman for the local ministry.

 


“We are currently contacting relatives of the passengers and crew who were on board and we are offering any help we can to those affected,” said the airline statement.

However, there was no immediate information on the accident, although some news reports indicated weather could have been a factor because there were rain and winds of about 11 meter per second (25 mph) at the time of the crash.
