Today, Twitter marked 96th Anniversary of Jallianwala Bagh Massacre in Amritsar. Jallianwala Bagh Massacre was a Massacre that happened in Amritsar on 13th April, 1919. On April 13, 1919, British-Indian troops opened fire at a peaceful gathering of Punjabis. The person in charge was General Reginald Dyer who gave the orders to shoot at the unarmed men, women and children, who demanding freedom freedom from the British and were staging a protest against the arrest of their leaders. The shooting lasted about ten minutes. As a result of the shooting, hundreds of people were killed and thousands were injured.
