Maggie’s Plan Movie Review & Rating

On January 9, 2014, it was announced that director Rebecca Miller and Greta Gerwig would be re-teaming on rom-com Maggie’s Plan to direct and star, respectively, scripted by Miller and based on the story by Karen Rinaldi. Rachael Horovitz was set to produce through Specialty Films along with Miller and Damon Cardasis through their Round Films. Julianne Moore was added to the cast of the film on January 15, 2014.

Story Based On-

When Maggie (Greta Gerwig), a young and independent New Yorker, decides to become a single mother and inseminate herself with the help of a former college acquaintance (Travis Fimmel), she appears to be – as always – in perfect control of her life. Yet, this meticulously planned transaction nonetheless runs up against the unpredictability of fate when Maggie falls for a “ficto-critical anthropologist” named John (Ethan Hawke), whose marriage to Georgette (Julianne Moore)- a brilliant but time-consuming Columbia University Professor – is falling apart.

Positive Point of the movie-

  • Screenplay is good and you will enjoy that a lot in the movie.
  • Director did his work in a good note and I think scripting is so good.
  • Simple presentation but not that bad.

Negative Point of the movie-

  • Music is so average and I am sure that’s not going to be the goo deal for the makers.
  • Script is not that good like expected by the makers.
  • I think songs are the big threat in the movie because they affect the momentum.

Final verdict-

If you all are planning to watch this movie you can watch it because movie came up with good direction and acting. Also this is a comedy romantic movie and that’s good I think movie can be the great deal for the makers but only in America I don’t think movie can do anything in upcoming days from India.
