Twitter Reaction: Lionel Messi Retired & Shahid Afridi Got Trolled

After losing three preceding Copa America finals, Lionel Messi on Sunday night had an extra chance to win. Argentina and Chile were fastened in a scoreless tie, and the match would be determined by penalty kicks. The five-time FIFA Ballon d’Or winner touched his lip, gave the goalie a fleet appraising sight, and threw a cannonball-like shot over the goal, refraining for Argentina when it meant most.

Lionel Messi retired from international football yesterday, which shocked all his fans and followers. The tension was obvious, the discussions too many to figure and feels about him resigning too early changed from disbelief to anger to overall moodiness.

Many followers took to their Twitter handles to take an excavation at Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi. The star player from Pakistan has withdrawn in the past only to make a comeback on a couple of happening.

Some believe Messi may have hastened proclaiming his retirement from the Argentina team. They requested Messi to take the notion from Afridi and come back.

Many trolled Afridi for his elongated restraint with the Pakistan team while some asked him regarding his retirement. Afridi has withdrawn from Tests and ODIS but not from T20Is.
