CPL 2016 Match Highlights: Guyana Amazon Warriors Vs Sain Kitts and Nevis patriots

The CPL has already unleashed and it has all-day started spreading the joy of Spreading the joy of T20 Cricket in the island of Carribean.

The last match of CPL was between the Guyana Amazon Warrior and the Sain Kitts and Nevis Patriot team. Guyana Amazon Warrior won this match by 4 wickets.

Saint Kitts and Nevis Patriots batted first and took their scoreboard to the average total of 164/9 on the back of useful contributions from the Faf Du Plessis (30), Brad Hodge (38), Devon Thomas (38) and Thisara Perera’s quickfire 20 off just 12 balls.

Although , Du Plessis must be disappointed with the failure of the top order of his team as  Lendl Simmons got out for duck nd his partner Evin Lewis just scored 8.

Also, Carlos Braithwaite failed to deliver. But they somehow reached the fighting total of 164.

For the Guyana Amazon Warriors, Adam Zampa and Sohail
Tanvir was best as both shared the total number of 7 wickets between them as Adam Zampa took  wickets and Social Tanvir snaped 4 scalps.

This was some really impressive performance from the Guyana Amazon Warriors Bowling lineup.

But the real fun began when Martin Guptill’s led side came on to bat for chasing the challenging score of 164 and won the game in the 19.5 over of the match.

Although, both Guptill and Dwayne Smith gave their team solid start but Guptill got out for 22 but his partner Dwayne smith scored the match winning 62 off just 36 balls.

Although this team lost their momentum when Dwayne Smith got out by the brilliant bowl of Krishnakumar Santokie and soon after that, Chris Lynn also failed and got run out.

But then Jason Mohammed hold his nerve and scored the 42 off just 29 balls to take his team to the victory.

Dwayne Smith was adjudged Man of the match for his solid performance for his 62.

On the other side, Faf Du Plessis bowlers were shattered all around the parks and he must now look to bounce back in the next fixture.

Meanwhile, Martin Guptill is the happiest man on this planet as he won his first match as a captain but he must hold his nerve because it’s just one game and there is a lot to come for him in near future.
