Textile Minister Smriti Irani is no more member of CCPA

Textile Minister Smriti Irani has been dropped from Cabinet Committee on Parliament Affairs. The CCPA has been dropped Smriti Irani as a special invitee and elevated New HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar as a member of CCPA.

Cabinet Committee on Parliament Affairs recommends the date of Parliament sessions.

Earlier this week, Najma Heptula who was minority affairs minister had resigned from Union Cabinet. She is no more member of the panel.

In the second reshuffle of Cabinet, Smriti Irani was shifted to textiles ministry from the HRD ministry.

Earlier Prakash Javadekar was a special invitee to the cabinet committee.

The new law minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad replaces his predecessor DV Sadananda Gowda in the cabinet panel.

Rajiv Pratap Rudy was minister of state for parliamentary affairs portfolio. Rajiv Pratap Rudy has been dropped as a special invitee and replaced by the new junior minister in the ministry S S Ahluwalia.

PP Chaudary who is a newly-inducted minister of state in the law ministry has also been made a special invitee in the parliament affairs.
The Cabinet Committee on Parliament Affairs is headed by home minister Rajnath Singh. It is mandated to recommend the dates of Parliament sessions. It has 11 members, including three special invitees.
Union ministers Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, M Venkaiah Naidu, Ram Vilas Paswan and Ananth Kumar are the other members of CCPA.
Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi who is a minister of state for parliamentary affairs is another special invitee of CCPA. The Cabinet Secretariat issued a fresh list for the Cabinet Committee on Parliament Affairs.
