While Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg wrote in a post, in which he describe that, after two years of engineering, I’m proud to declare the successful first flight of Aquila. the solar-powered plane we created to beam the internet to remote portions of the world.
Also, He said that Where on June 28th, we made the first successful flight of Aquila, our solar-powered aircraft that will transmit the internet to remote parts of the world and finally create the history for longest unmanned aircraft flight.
Additionally, from to the Mark Zuckerberg post, the flight took place already dawn in Yuma, and Arizona. Facebook’s first mission was to fly the Aquila for 30 minutes, however, things went very well for the organization and it determined to keep the plane up for 96 minutes.
