Brazil is hosting the Rio Olympic Games 2016 right now, but the tourists do not safe in the capital of Brazil, Rio. Tourists in Brazil for the 2016 Rio Olympics have to be on high alert to avoid getting robbed on the streets in broad daylight by petty thieves.

VOIDtv posted some disturbing video on Facebook that illustrates the danger tourists are in.

local thieves in Brazil are targeting mobile phones, purses, backpacks and necklaces of tourists while they are simply walking down the crowded streets. There is not even any pretense involved, as the young men and women involved are not hiding their intentions whatsoever.

Brazil Police made it clear before the Rio Olympics 2016 began that they would not have the resources to properly control the crime on the streets.

So far, it is clear that Brazil police were right.
