Breaking News! US: 13 People Shot Wounded at Connecticut House Party

13 people wounded in a shooting at a crowded house party in Connecticut. In Connecticut, the police are investigating the case of an unusual outburst of violence in the largest city of state.

According to the Bridgeport police that two shooters opened fire on around 100 party-goers from behind some hedges surrounding the backyard of the house. It happened on Sunday around 1:30 am (local time).

On sunday afternoon, Captain Brian Fitzgerald said at a news conference that the party was so crowded that some people believed the gunshots were fireworks.

Police have enhanced patrols in the area. The local police are gathering information from victims and the witnesses.

Fitzgerald said that the Police have not identified the motive behind the shooting and are investigating whether the suspects were party-goers.

Chief Armando J Perez said that we are going to have an arrest in the very near future.

According to authorities that on Sunday, 5 of the victims had been discharged from hospitals. Most of the victims were shot in the legs. 1 woman was in critical condition with injuries to her jaw and face.

Police said the age of the victims ranged from about 18 years to 24 years. The police did not identified the people who threw the party.

Authorities are asking that anyone with information contact the Bridgeport police.

In the last summer, 1 man was killed and 8 people were injured when two men opened fire on a group of people in the parking lot of the Trumbull Gardens housing complex in the Noth End of the city. Among the injured was a grandmother taking a shower in her nearby home. Two were arrested.

The Trumbull Gardens complex is located about 3 miles northwest of the Connecticut city.
