Sonakshi Sinha’s latest action drama movie “Akira” was released today in box office. And people have average buzz for the movie. I think bad reviews and bad word of mouth working as a negative point for the movie. Also, as you all know that the competition level was not that stick this week but still Akira is not able to attract quality audience towards it.
The movie is opened up with the average occupancy and didn’t even impress the audience. And the shocking part is people still attracting towards the last release “Rustom” in good numbers. Also, after lot of promotion and marketing the movie is didn’t even make the good bucks for the makers. Upcoming days maybe going to be the average deal for the movie.
Overseas box office collection was so cool the movie collected more than expectations from the overseas countries. But don’t know why in India the occupancy and the collection report of first day were so average. Sources are saying that the movie didn’t going to make more than 6 Crore from the first weekend.
Akira Box office collection
Even the movie is struggling in India people have average buzz for the movie but overseas collection was mind blowing. The movie beats the first-day collection record of “Neerja” in UAE. The movie collected $139,000 from the very first day of release.
In India, the first-day occupancy is average because people have no buzz for the movie. Also, without having a male leading actor I think movie got bit affected because here people not used to of female leading actress in action. Overall, the movie collected between 2.10 Crore from the very first day of release.
#Akira opens well in UAE-GCC… Thu $ 139,000 [₹ 92.91 lacs]… Better start than #Neerja [$ 135,000].
#Akira gathered momentum after an ordinary start… Biz picked up from evening onwards… Fri ₹ 5.15 cr. India biz.
Well, I am not sure that the first-weekend box office collection going to be that good deal for the makers. Also, A flying Jatt, and Rustom is attracting quality audience towards it. Upcoming days are going to be the hard journey for the movie because people have normal buzz for the movie.
