After throat surgery Arvind Kejriwal returns Delhi amid chikungunya epidemic

New Delhi: On Saturday, Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal returned to Delhi from Bengaluru after having undergone a throat surgery for persistent cough.

On 13th September, Kejriwal had gone to Bengaluru and the throat surgery took place the next day to correct an anatomical abnormality of his oral-pharyngeal and palatal area.

Kejriwal thanked doctors of the hospital before leaving for Delhi where he underwent the surgery.

The congress and BJP have criticised Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia for being away from the national capital at a time when Delhi is struggling with the outbreak of chikungunya and dengue.

Deputy CM of Delhi – Manish Sisodia is also scheduled to return today from Finland to Delhi. In Finland, he had gone to understand its education system.

On Friday, Delhi Congress President and workers of the party had observed ‘Bhagoda Diwas’ in the 70 constituencies, saying that Kejriwal and half of his cabinet were absent from Delhi.

Doctors at the Narayan Health City has said after the throat surgery that he is doing well, there is no problem. He is able to talk, but we are restricting him.
